Created collaboratively, the app allows users to discover and join local drop-in sessions, learn how to play, and connect with other players based on skill level and play style.

For the design phase, we focused on a clean, simple UI tailored to baby boomers, our primary user group. We conducted extensive playtesting to refine task flows and ensure the app was intuitive, easy to navigate, and accessible for users of all tech comfort levels.

Many Baby Boomers want to stay active and socially engaged, but barriers such as fear, inexperience, and lack of guidance can make it difficult to start new physical activities. This raised the question: how might we help Baby Boomers overcome these barriers and feel more confident trying something new? Through our initial research, pickleball emerged as a strong opportunity to explore.
